Episode 6
August 21st, 2005Yes, while it appears that everyone else in the free world was having fun in Indianapolis, we were stuck here. So we decided to do a podcast! (Like that’s a surprise, we do one every weekend, but still….)
- We are now members of the Sci-Fi Podcast Network! (Check out the banner above)
- Please send your t-shirt ideas to dragonslanding@gmail.com and you could win some cool products from Highmoon Media
- We mention the Pulp Gamer podcast and the All Games Considered podcast
- There is also a really cool site for d20 3.5 SRDs at www.systemreferencedocuments.org
- In the Frugal Gamer, we round up some video games you can play if you find yourself with time free from tabletop gaming
- www.adventuregamers.com
- The Anonymous Game Developers - King’s Quest I and II
- Runescape - a java based MMORPG
- Wikipedia has a cool list of free games
- Betrayal at Krondor *
- Dink Smallwood
- Castle of the Winds
- Ultima IV
- Zork I, II, III, and the Undiscovered Underground
- the Interactive Fiction archives
- Review of Athenaeum Arcane: Cursed Items
- Answered questions regarding polytheism and how to spice up a homebrew city
- Our Feature: “Death Becomes Him, Her, or It”
- Our rather self-serving poll for this week asks “What’s you favorite part of our show?”
* It would appear that, since Vivendi took over Sierra, they have revoked the free offer for Betrayal at Krondor and some of the other games that Sierra released as freeware. Therefore you should not try to download the game from any of the multitude of servers that still exist that host it. You should also not go and search Google for “Betrayal at Krondor download” to find these servers. Really. You shouldn’t.
