It may be late, but it’s finally here. Episode 31 is a little different from our normal episodes. No Frugal Gamer, no Feature story, and no listener feedback this week. What we do have is our impression of our first vision to VisionCon in Springfield, MO. We talked to some gamers, saw a lot of stormtroopers, Jedis, officers from Stargate, and tons of people dressed in Renaissance garb. We looked at a lot of cool gaming products, board games, card games, swords and knives, and dice. We interviewed Ryu Cope, creater of the Ryu-Ki Roleplaying System. And by the time we got home, we were beat. If one day at a small local gaming convention can wear us out this much, I don’t know how we are going to survive GenCon! However, due to our utter exhaustion, the show is only about half as long as normal. We’ll make up for it next week. :)

Anyway, take a look at the VisionCon website at http://www.visioncon.net, and go visit Dragon Dog Press at http://www.dragondogpress.com to find the Ryu-Ki system. Also, we have an interview we will get to in the next couple of weeks with Jordan, the owner of Games To Order (http://www.gamestoorder.com) who will be putting out some very cool sounding board games this year, but while we are waiting for them to come out, check out his online store.

And we’ll be back next week on time, on schedule, on budget, on Donder, on Blitzen…. wait, where was I? Oh, yeah, all your favorite segments will be back, and possibly a bit longer since we are making up for missing a week. And although we have gotten mixed reviews on the Spam Poetry, we just might have another one of those as well, so you have been warned. (Come on, it’s only a couple of minutes long… you can fast forward through it if you want.) So we’ll see you then!
