First off, let’s bid our awesome sponsor, RPGNow.com a sad farewell, and thanks for the support!

The episode is late. If you were on the forums you know that Lonnie got a new iMac and Garageband crashed when we first tried recording. That’s all good, though, since History Dave wasn’t able to make it that time, but this time he did. The hoorays can quit now…

This time around we’re discussing the great things — and say Thanks! — to Mr. Gary Gygax now that he’s passed away. Something we should have done long before. We also get back to a little discussion about our new world. Lots of goodness!

Just a couple of notes this week:

  • From Josh - Mid East Con in Richmond, VA - Trying to get this new Con started. If you’re in the area, or willing to drive, be sure to visit his site and tell him what you’d love to see.
  • The guys from Midnight Syndicate sent us their new soundtrack for the upcoming movie Rage. We give you a small peak, but you can always grab your own copy.

Where’s Dave-o? That’s right, back to the basics this week as we were not able to get together with History Dave. Darn Kobolds!

You’ve got a great reason to jump over to our sponsor’s site, this week, RPGNow.com. Flying Buffalo has become a part of the site, and they’re releasing the Tunnels and Trolls RPG for free!

Since we were without History Dave, the feature this week is a grab-bag of questions that our listeners have asked over the years that we felt we hadn’t touched on enough.
This week’s news:

  • RivCa has started a Play By Post on the boards. Looks like it’s going to be fun, and I believe there’s still room for you!
  • Kobold Quarterly - http://www.koboldquarterly.com - by Wolfgang Baur
  • Among others, Judd, Gary, Arcangel, and Dan all recognized that Marshall Will and Holly were the characters from Land of the Lost. Dan went on to mention that Will Farell’s character from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was named Willenhollie, and he was a feredal marshall.
  • We’ve played a bit of their music for you all before, but Erdenstern - Into The Green is available on iTunes, and they are working on their fifth album, “Into the Gold”. Pretty good mood music for gamers.
  • Yax from www.dungeonmastering.com is writing a blurb about us this month. Very cool website…
  • New gaming podcast - Wap Caplets is an audio-blog of my opinions and thoughts on gaming.

Happy Holidays to all of our wonderful listeners!

Be sure to check out all of the great deals at RPGNow.com, especially if you’re looking for some of that Reverse Dungeon goodness (thanks Nor’Morgwae)!
In the feature this week, we took our listeners advice and actually start creating a new world which will ultimately be the default world for CORE! It’s a fun and lively discussion, and we think we’ve got some interesting ideas brewing…

And now… the news:
